回复：父母来美入境时碰到点麻烦

父母五年前第一次来美国,住了三个月按时回国了.

去年五月份再次邀请他们来, 入境时给签了六个月, 他们住了三个月按计划回国了.

今年初, 因为我们刚有了小孩儿, 请他们过来帮我们照看. 给他们买了半年的往返机票. 去年的签证已失效,就通过中信办了免面试的B-2签证.

到美国后入境时的检察官员觉得他们去年刚来过今年又来, 太频繁了. 父母通过一个好心的中国人做翻译告诉官员买了半年的往返机票. 那个官员给放了半年,但说他在系统里加了注释,父母下次再来美要等上一段时间了.

他们的I-94卡上除了那个正常的蓝色椭圆入境章外, 还加盖了一个黑色的长方形章, 上面写着 "B2, Sep 03 2010 , 6 Months Only".

我们本来计划父母这半年住满后, 回国去呆俩三个月, 在签证失效前再来美国. 现在不知道还行不行?
-It is very possible that the CBP will alow them to enter US but only allow them to stay for a very short time (short I-94 duration, e.g. one month or less) if they do that as you said here.

有没有哪位大侠知道那个黑色方型张有什么特殊的意思吗?
-That means your parents only can stay in US for 6 months and have to leave. But your parents still can file the B2 extension because USCIS may ignore this note on the I-94. CBP and USCIS are in different system and they may not care about each other.
