How to Renew Canadian Permanent Resident Card

Hi, I have an expiring Canadian PR Card but I haven't really settled down
in Canada. I wonder how I can get it renewed.

I can probably find a friend there but how should I deal with the
application form, which requires me to fill in work/education history in
the last five years in Canada?
