请教：持H1离开美国期间如果绿卡批下来还能回来吗？

本人现在是H1签证。2007年8月大潮时交的140/485， EB3， PD 2003年5月。原准备今
年暑假回国，最近听说如果在回国期间绿卡下来的话，回不了美国，因为H1当时就要失效了。不知道是不是这样？谁了解这方面的情况的话，请赐教。 非常感谢！
