我第一个问题应当改一下：公司可以不通过律师申请H1B吗，在第一次是通过律师的情况下？(我们小公司，没有HR，如果公司可以申请的话，基本就是我准备材料，小米以公司名义递上去）。谢谢！
-Of course your employer does not need a lawyer if he does not want to. To save the money, you can prepare the paperwork for your HR if they agree. You do not need to pay the training fee ($1500 or $750) to USCIS if this is your second time H1 extension (if you extended your h1 before with the same employer). Also, you do not need to apy the anti-fraud fee ($500).
