HELP-parents were denied

It's so ridiculous!! Have you even heard about what happened to my parents?
I came to US two years ago with J-1 visa and have not come back to China. My parents went to interview in Chengdu for visiting me yesterday. The visa officer told them to pick up their visa at afternoon. But when they went to pick up visa, they were told to be denied without noting any reason. I never heard those situation would happen. Please tell me what to do if you know something like this.
