Ｉam a green card holder

My wife is in Canada, is there any way she comes to the US?

Even afte I got US citizenship, I heard it's better to apply for I-130 than for a K visa? How long does it take for her to get a green card? Should I start filing for her now or until I get the US citizenship(which is over 2 years away)?
