拿到绿卡了，需要注销H1B吗？

现在是博士后，去年7月发信向学校国际办公室问过办Eb1-B的事情，结果一直没回音，就自己办了Eb1-a,已经拿到绿卡。

今天，国际办公室的人突然回信，说学校不能给博士后申请Eb1-b.给她回信说已经拿到绿卡，并对她的回信表示感谢。结果她来信说，要给她发过去H1b和绿卡的复印件，她需要取消H1b.

请问大家，需要走这个程序吗？有何影响？
