入籍申请提前90天递交？

请教前辈：
N-400 instruction 上写

If you are applying based on five years as a lawful permanent resident or based on three years as a lawful permanent resident married to a U.S. citizen, you may apply for naturalization up to 90 days before you meet the "continuous residence" requirement.

意思是，我可以提前90天递交入籍申请？
我期间回国过几次，每次2-3星期，这不会影响提早90天递交吧？
提早递交，有何利弊？
