my H1B will be expired on 03/02/09,and I can not get H1B extension due to my prevailing wage,and I am trying to find another job before 03/02/09,

-No. You have to leave US after the I-94 expires, otherwise you are unlawyful present. One solution is that you may ask your current employer to extend you h1 status on part-time job base (e.g. 20, 25, 30, 35 hours/week) and thus, you can legally work and at the same time, you can look for a full time job and then, do H1 transfer. In the immigration point of view, part-time h1 status = the full time H1 status =H1 status.

does H1B have grace period?
-Only ten days for you to prepare leaving.
