Then you can stay here. If you can find a job, transfer your H1b if it is transferrable; or try to apply a new one.
If you have high confidence on the success of your I140/I485 application, then the only problem is that you need to stay here. But still, if you can not find a job, you need to be careful about the possibility of rejection, and be prepared for worset case.
