请教皮匠, 863211老师: about using EAD while holding H1B

H1B will expire in 2 years, and I won't renew it. There is a project from other company, which if I take requires me to work for about one month. Could I use EAD to work for that project? Will that invalid my current H1B? If I use EAD for that project, do I have to report it to my current employer and use EAD to work for my current employer too? Thanks...
