GenBank data and attorney

I have deposited 6 genes in GenBank, I was also the one who named this gene cluster. I found that, some other researchers also used the term I named when they deposited their gene sequences (from sequencing and annotation) in the database. How can I use this in my application? Can I claim it as citation or impact in the scientifc contribution? I really appreciate your helps. BTW, I am fed up with my attorney. She sent me the first version of the petition letter on last Friday. I sent her back on Monday early Morning. After four days, tonight I received her revised letter. Only adding three sentences! I am afraid that I am wasting my time. If you can, just DIY.
