We landed and get maple cards before my daughter was born in US. We all later entered Canada with our maple cards and my daughter with her US passport without any problem. The Canadian officer at customer told us my daughter can saty in Canada 6 month with her US passport and need to file immigration within this period. We file immigration for her under family catogory and got approved in two month including my daughter's physical examination ($100) within Canada. We finished her landing process by visiting the rainbow bridge. We did not hire an attoney and did not find any difficulties.

PS: However,there was a lesson: The officer who dealt with my daughter's landing process had dated wrong on her landing paper and we did not find it until we got home. This later was really hassels to fix it. We had to call the aderministration and flow their instruction for changing the date.

It is not a big deal to enter Canada and immigrate the child later if the child was born here.
