刚刚出境激活H1B，我朋友的H1B还有六年吗？

我朋友去年H1B获批准，但前不久才刚刚出境激活，（此前用的是TN),为什么新I-94上的过期日距现在只有两年时间，下一次延期可以延四年吗？
