If you just want use your marriage as bridge to get your GC, then DON"T do that!!! You have to apply your GC aboard and that will take at least 5 years or even longer.
If you are in true love, you'd better keep your own legal status, say F1,H1, until you get GC. Or you can think about applying GC by yourself.

Remember, marry to a PR is the hardest way to get GC. Never do that if you have any other choices.
