请问 Pjiang and 863211: my wife and I filed I-485 (EB-2) at Oct 2004. The Priority date is July 12, 2004. I called USCIS recently for case status inquiry. The response is " At this time, there is no visa available. When there is a visa available, your application will be processed."
-The person who answered the phone might be not responsible for your call.
--- It's an email response, not the people who answered phone. I called back USCIS and they suggested me to do Infopass. I went to Infopass and the officer didn't know anything more than the USCIS guy who answered the phone.

The current visa date for ED2 is April 2005. The visa should be avaliable for my case, right? Do you think USCIS misplaced my case into EB-3?
-You can tell whether your case is EB2 or EB3 from your I-140 approval notice.
---- Of course I know my case is EB2. Maybe I didn't make my question clear. I want to ask why there is no visa for EB2 since my PD is July 2004 and current EB-2 date is April 2005.
