我们联系了B校拿到了原来A校的I-20的COPY。但是还是有4个半月的GAP，不知道怎么解释。另外我老公有成绩单可证明那4个半月他是FULL TIME的学生。
-Provide your hu*****and's成绩单 and explain that the I-20 was lost for that period.

问题：
1）这4个半月是不是OUT OF STATUS了？
-Yes, technically.
会因此造成485 被拒吗？
-Not at all. Only out of status > 180 days can affect I-485.
2）除了成绩单还有什么材料可证明身份的合法呢？
-You might ask Univ. A provides a letter explaining your hu*****and was a full-time student at that period of time, but the I-20 was missing if you want to.
3）如果485因此被拒，还能用原来的已经批准的140重新申请吗？
-Yes, of course.

By the way, has your hu*****and been China and got a new visa to reenter US since he left Univ. A? If so, he has nothing to worry about.
