请教：两本中国护照保持绿卡的可行性

一年前给父母办了美国绿卡。老两口最近想到北京我老弟那里呆一两年，但这样很可能会丢掉绿卡。
一个台湾同事出了个主意：
1。父母从加拿大地面出境，没有记录。
2。让我父母回国后挂失护照，领新的来。
3。下次入境，用新护照从北京出境，新护照加绿卡从加拿大入境；
4。从地面入境美国，用旧护照加绿卡。

这样，美国移民官没有办法知道在加拿大呆了多少时间，也不会有绿卡取消问题了。据说好的台湾人这么干。问一下大牛，可行吗？

另外，如果申请了AP，如果取消绿卡，会发生什么？
