Impact of COS from AOS to H1?

I have been in AOS for 1 and half year (PD: 11/2005). I was in H1 before AOS, from my reading, I can change back to H1 status if a new H1 petition is approved. Does this mean my current I-485 application will be declined or invalid?

The reason for me to have a H1 is I want to back to China to get married, and this might be the fastest approach to have my wife to come here. I can do follow-to-join, but seems this would take around 3 years, too long. Any suggestion regarding to this situation?
