I just decide to go back to China for a conference next week. The application for my AP is pending now. Do you think I can go there first without the AP? So once it's approved, my wife can mail it to me.
-The answer is No. If you leave before your AP approval, you may have big trouble in your return and your I-485. You need to go to USCIS local office to get an emergency AP before you leave.
