about the income-emergency

I married american citizen, his income is 37,000 per year,but he is two kids under 17, he need to support the two kids, if his income is enough for support me for the green card? we get interivew next month? if I need to deposit more cash in our joint account if his income is not enough for supporting me. how much I should deposit in joint account?
