My lawyer did reply the RFE stating that I have started J-1 waiver application and provided my Case # etc. wuliao2009, u r right. I guess I have to submit I-539 for changing to H-4 by myself anyway.

After reading online articles, I realized this is a serious problem. It seems that if I apply fro H4 before 7/31/09, I don't have to leave US; however, if after 485 denied or 7/31/09, I have to leave and apply for H4. Anyone else can share experience. Many thanks.
