If the unlawful residence is greater than 180 days but less than 1 year, must remain out of the country for 3 years before legal admission can be granted. If the unlawful residence period is greater than 1 year but less than 10 years, then 10 year bar applies and must remain out of the country for 10 years before legal admission can be granted.
