我的情况是：作为dependent I-485 pending,因离婚主动给USCIS 写信（寄的普通信件，不知道USCIS是否收到）要求撤回I-485申请，但是一直没有得到USCIS回复，现在查我的I-485 status,仍是pending，现在的身份是H-1B,但是马上就要被layoff,请问layoff后我还能不能以I-485 pending 合法留在美国？
- Yes, as long as your I-485 remains pending.
Your divorce may result in a denial of I-485, but you are still in status during pendancy of I-485 regardless the fact you have been divorced.
If you have yet received a denial letter, your I-485 is still pending, thus you're still in status of AOS even you're no longer in H-1b due to being laid-off.

如果不能，我能够转成F-1身份吗？
