急问 Pijing等高手: about H1B

Dear experts:
May you help me with one question? I am doing OPT. The institution only sponsors H1B, but not green card (this institution is cap-free). My friends told me that I can apply for green card with help from lawyers.
My question is: what should I do with H1B? Is it to our advantage that we apply for H1 B as early as possible? Or is it better to wait for a few months and get another offer from an institution that sponsors both H1B and green card (less likely with the economic situation)?
BTW, I plan to get NIW as soon as possible.
In addition, if any of you know any lawyers, please recommend.
