questions: how to return to US

Sorry I cannot type Chinese in the current computer.
My situation is that:
Application for Canadian immigration was approved;
Currently holding J1 (waivered) in USA, valid till the end of this year;
Currently preparing to apply for H1b.

My question is:
Is there any possibility for J1/J2 or H1/H4 holders to visit Canada shortly while return to USA without requiements of entry visas? I know it works for F1s.
