We received our Green Card, finally.

Here is our GC story:

11/2003 - initiate the process. Yet our attorney suggested post the job twice because for some reaon the HR did not receive any resume.

05/2004 - filed Labor.
then wait, wait, wait. This was a very tough time for our family as Wife got a job in another city thousands miles away in 09/2004 and Hubby decided to stay to continue the Green Card process. And Wife did not agree with Hubby's decision in the beginning.

11/2005 - heard from Backlog center that Labor was approved.
Wife finally agreed with Hubby's decision and found a job and moved back. We didn't care about the GC status that much any longer.

11/2006 - heard that we can file 140/485
01/2007 - filed 140/485 concurrently with 05/2004 PD
03/2007 - 140 approved, EAD and AP received, and finger printed
then wait, wait, wait

04/09/2009 - received cards

When waiting for 485, we called USCIS periodically as they suggested. The funny thing is that we called them on 03/26 and they said they're still processing. On 04/01 they sent us a letter to confirm our inquiry call and suggested to call again if no updates in another 6 months. Then on 04/08 we received emails for approval notice. The effective day was 04/03, only 2 days after the letter!
