请教OPT gap 问题

请问我的情况是不是需要回国再回来

OPT expires at July 9th 2009.
The job offer (working at a university) starts at August 29TH 2009.
The human resources said that they can get my H1 B approved by August 2009.
There is a gap between July 9th to August 29th. it is a 50 days gap.
Should I go back to China and then come back at the end of August?
