You OPT EAD will be denied

It's OK for you to keep your F-1 status whne 485 pending because CIS does not have regulations to govern this situation. In other words, it a gray period.

However, OPT is for practical training. Since you are waiting to adjust your status, you'll not be eligible for practical training.
