The US Customs officer should have issued your I-94 duration as the same length as the H1 duration. You need to make an appointment online for visiting USCIS local office. You need to call the Entry of Port before you go there. You can not let the I-94 expire without doing something. You can also file the H4 renewal application before the I-94 expires.
