PJIANG, please help on B2 visa and passport expiration date

Hi, PJIANG,

My parents just obtained B2 visa and they plan to come to US in July 2009. However, their passports will expire May 5, 2010. I know the passport expiration date has to be at least six month later than the entry date. But I do not know if the US Customs will grant my parents less than six month stay in US simply because their passport will expire May 5, 2010. If true, it is better for my parents to get new passports before they come to US this summer. But I am not sure how the Chinese Gong1 An1 Ju2 will handle their old passports with the US visa. Can you please let me know your comment? Thank you very much.
