No matter whether NIW/EB1A or PERM/LCA and no matter whether you are in US or in China, you have to have an employer's support or sponsor when you are in I-485 stage (in US) or by Consulate Processing (in China). NIW(EB2)/EB1A/B and PERM/LCA(EB2) all belong to Employment Base, and that means you have to be employed once you get GC.
