Help about F1, H1 etc..

I have to change my H1 to F1 soon because my contract will be over at the end of Aug. ALso I am still looking for another job, my question is: after I submit my F1 application and I will be in pending status, if I have good enough luck to find a company to sponsor me H1, can I apply H1 and how?

Thanks for any advice! I am really worried to death!
