Most people would probably say you need to carry 2 copies.
I used only 1 copy in my own experience and they let me in and didn't even ask why I only brought 1 copy.
If you are not sure, just bring 2 copies with you.
If you are afraid to lose the copy, well, I don't know what to tell you. You could just bring one copy and still lose it....
