It is exactly because she was admited into US using K1 visa but not married to sponsor which is evidence of fraud intent to enter US and not leaving that make her not eligible to AOS with USCIS under any category. So her lawyer will arrange her to be in removal proceeding and plea to judge to cancel the removal proceeding based on hardship to her USC spouse and children.
