You need to stop working if your EAD expires, and continue to work after your get the EAD extension approved.

律师说part-time job要上报uscis.
-I do not agree with this lawyer. Part-time job is better. You do not need to report it to USCIS if you use EAD to work (if you use H1 status to work, you need to report this to USCIS by filing H1 amendment)
