I am wondering if you know about this.

I went for interview today at local office. My 140 (EB1B) was approved. But after the interview, the office did not approve my 485 right away. She said that she did not see any red flags. And asked me to wait for the result in the mail. I had a arrest record six years ago.
Is this normal not to give an yes or no at the interview? Can the local office approve my case without sending my case back to NSC?
