h1b通过RIR取得绿卡，3-4年可以吗？

本人大陆工学本科，10年大陆工作经验，目前得到了H1B，2004.10.1开始启用，老板愿意为我的绿卡申请担保，准备走RIR的路子；听说EAD容易得到，2年就行，绿卡较难；不知是否属实，请指教。
