Pjiang and other experts: please help this case!!!

My case: I-485 is pending (PD 06/07), 140 approved. I have a 2-year EAD card and never use it. H1B will expire 1/15/2009 (first time)
My situation: My current company asked me to find a new job three months ago. Unfortunately, I did not get anything yet. So the company would like to extend my H1B for my family.
I just finished one interview. I guess that I may get this job offer. The problem is that the title is different from my current one although they both have "analyst" and in finance. Also, this new job company won't support anything.SO I have to use my EAD card.
My question is:
If I use my EAD card in the new company and my previous company could extend my H1B for my family. Does this help if my 485 gets rejected in the future? What should I do?
