Re-entry US after landing Ca

Can I re-entry US without H1 visa stamp on my passport immidiately after landing Canada? I just had H1 approval notice I-797 with me, but don't have H1 stamp, I have F1 stamp on my passport. My I-94 card also is for original F1 visa, not for H1.
