You may also ask USCIS to cancel the H4 application you filed when you come back. Although technically it is automatically invalid when you leave US, sometimes USCIS may forget this rule and approve this application. Because you have gone outside US to get a new H4 visa, the previous unlawful presence record, if any, will be removed from USCIS file. So, your withdrawal of H4 application will be safe to your status at this time.
