In my opinion,I suggest you stay in current company as long as you can.The reasons are:
(1)You current company want to sponsor GC.
(2)At current time,the econimics is worse,It is better for you not change job.
(3)If you change job,normally you have to wait for one~two years to ask you employer to submit a new PERM

There is no doubt that you can transfer you H1-B ,or apply for a new TN visa for new company.
