Urgent! H1 or OPT, which one is right?

A company gave me offer, and expect to start work middle of next month. My current status is F1, but worked as H1 over five years ago with three years left. My problem is, since I am qualified for one-year OPT, should I use OPT to work, or apply H1b directly? Is my quote for H1 still available?
Which status, OPT or H1b is better for green card application? Thanks!!!
