That means not changing/clearing this record in IRS may only affect my 485 approval, it will not affect others, like my H1B status etc.?
-When you violate the rule (illegal work), both your I-485 and status will be affected. So, please return the money as soon as possible and ask the company to clear the record before USCIS realize it.
