863211 and dreambackhome, thanks so much for your kind suggestions on the problems I met:

"Since my current boss knows industrial people, and he got a small job provided by a company several months ago: look up literatures. My boss thereafter asked for my help. So after I finished the job, the company directly deposited $2000 my personal bank account. I hold H1B supported by A university"


I understand that you SUGGESTED me to return the money to the company and have them call IRS to cancel the record.

I have a question: if I will not return the money and company will not call IRS TO clear the record, what will this affect? Will it affect my green card application or will IRS infom USCIS to stop my current H1B employment because I did the small 2nd job?
