Unpaid leave and H1

I am working on H1b now. I plan to take an unpaid leave and stay in China for >6months. I-485 submitted. I-140 approved.

1) Will the >6month unpaid leave invaliadte my H1? If so, I cannot apply for an H1 visa to enter USA?

2) I know that I can apply for an AP and return to US after >6months. What would happen if I stay in China for >1 year and therefore AP expired?
