Help!!! Will H1B petition void current AOS/EAD?

My I-485 filed 1 yr ago, and I am the main applicant. I am working EAD now since my current employer don't want to renew my H1B after it expired 7 years. Now I need change to a new job. My new employer want to apply H1B for me as a backup. My question is will this H1B void my current AOS status? Because I remembered that after EAD, one can't switch back to use H1B, is it right? It is urgent, please help. I like to work on H1B, but if it has any side effect to current AOS, I don't want it happen.
