Please note that Mr./Ms. Fearless's H-1 status was from B1 to F1 to H1. Many people like him have big big trouble to get an H-1 visa in China. I do not think you had the same situtation like Mr./Ms. Fearless. When you entered U.S with B visa and changed it to another type of status, you nearly have no chance to that type of visa in China.
