One of my very close friends got his green card recently after an RFE. He honestly reported his affiliation with the CCP when filing the I-485 application. Except the RFE received around one year after the receipt date, he had no other troubles at all and finally received the card just a couple of weeks ago. Not even an interview that he had been worried about for a long time.
