I am laid off last week and have EAD that I never used, but I heard a different from my lawyer. She told me that I must find a job in one month. I guess it's because I never used either my EAD or AP, I am still considered as H-1B status and the one month is the grace period for H-1B holder.

To avoid unnecessary troubles, I need to find a job in one month to activate my EAD or re-enter US with AP. Please point out if I am wrong.
